Rude employees. I called and spoke to 'Prince'. I had a question about which dialect of German was spoken in the area. We are moving there next year and I want to be prepared.
He told me he was German, it was obvious he wasn't.
He also didn't understand my question and kept telling me I was not letting him help me.
I asked repeatedly to speak to a German so I could ask my question and he kept up the lie that he was a native German. It is clear from his accent that he is NOT German.
I called him out on it and he refused to admit the lie.

I don't care where he is from, when I ask a question and the question is not understood, he should have gotten an American at least who spoke English and could understand the question.

If that is indicative of the experience you'll get there as a patron, I wouldn't go if you paid me.
There is never a reason to lie.

The gym has multiple rooms to work out, a lot of workout gear and a sauna. There is plenty of space for an entire unit to fit. Basket Ball court is really nice and well maintained.

By far the worst gym in Bavaria. Both Vilseck and Graf gyms 24 hour access is good. No issues! Hohenfels gym has 24 hour access but the scanner never works. It’s always malfunctioning which causes you to miss days and you never know when it is going to happen. It’s ridiculous!

More than enough squat racks, especially since most of the guys only do upper body! One guys arms are bigger than his legs. It's truly incredible. There's another guy that sings out loud, and it sounds like an animal being crushed, buff tucked, or both. Personally, my favorite gym ever.

I mean...not sure what gym these other guys are reviewing, but I was almost shocked when I got the tour. As usual with Hohenfels, consider the base size and location, and adjust expectations accordingly. They have a basketball court, two separate cardio rooms, a functional fitness room, a cycling area, and a moderately sized weight room with DBs, BBs, lots of machines, one cable rig, one squat rack, one Smith machine, and multiple captains chairs. Functioning fans all around, doors open for airflow. Depending on why you're here you may have limited access hours, which makes sense considering that the place pretty much fills up during PT hours with the permanent party guys. They even have ladder climbers and skiers, which I appreciate. Sadly they don't have a stair climber, though. No sandbags either, and you know that squat rack and cable machine are ALWAYS occupied. There are two men's locker rooms, small but tidy and clean, with appropriate bathrooms and showers. Beware, the shower water is practically scalding. Very friendly staff, everything is well kept. Far and away better than what I expected, and more than well enough equipped for a short or long stay here.

They are constantly closed. It’s hard to find a time when they are open. If you are looking for a place where you can workout consistently I would put this gym on the bottom of your list. The court is nice tho. If you want to shoot a couple hoops I wouldn’t plan a day for it cause they probably will only be open for a few minutes. Soldiers need a place to workout and this should be where but it is constantly shut down. Would not recommend. Only giving two starts because the court is nice. Maybe because no one can ever play on it for more than a few minutes.

Most pathetic gym that ever existed. Barely any equipment, incredibly small space, and the hours of operation are trash. What kind of gym closes at 1930. Extend the hours to 22:00 and maybe you’ll get a better rating.
